2009 -2010 SEASON
SWISH LEAGUE RECREATION
BASKETBALL PROGRAM
REGISTRATION- for the 2009 – 2010 Season The Bourne Youth Swish League Basketball Program is open to boys and girls in kindergarten through 8th grade.
Requirements include residency in the town of Bourne or enrollment at a school in the town of Bourne. ALL St. Margarets and Waldorf children are welcome. Out of town residents that attend a school in Bourne, are NOT eligible to play on our TRAVEL TEAMS, but are welcome to play in our recreation league.
Teams will practice for 1 hour per week and play 1 or an occasional 2 games per week as detailed below. Game this year will begin after the Christmas Holidays.
We did not have a good turnout at the Central/Senior Girls levels so we will be adding the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade girls together and calling it the Middle School girls division. With the Middle School canceling there sports programs we started getting calls to see if there kids can still get in. We will be putting the teams together ASAP and practices will start after the new year.
Online registration is now closed.

PARENTS:The Bourne Youth Swish League is run by volunteers consisting primarily of the participant’s parents. Positions that run the league are coaches, division coordinators and executive board members. We are finding each year brings new challenges for us to find coaches and division coordinators, and each year fewer volunteers are doing the bulk of the work. Without volunteers – this league will not exist. Coaching is 1 hour practice per week with 1, sometimes 2, games per week. This is recreation basketball, so you need NOT have any previous basketball experience and we will help you obtain the knowledge you may need. Division Coordinators work can be done from home. Please help us in running a quality league for the children of Bourne.
