Boulder City Little League: Spring 2008 Divisions

Minors (aka Player Pitch)
This instructional division is designed to teach players the skills needed for more advanced play. Players in this division generally have more experience and a higher skill level than Rookie division players.

Players in this division range in league age from 7 to 12. Players with a league age of 12 are not permitted to pitch in this division.

2008 SEASON RULE CHANGE: Players with a league age of 12 are required to play in the Major Division, unless a waiver is submitted. To download the waiver form, click here.


Majors (aka LL World Series)
This division is the most competitive in Little League. It is featured during the Little League World Series.

It is designed for players with a league age of 9 to 12. According to new Little League rules for the 2008 season, all players with a league age of 12 must play in this division unless their parents / guardians submit a waiver approved by the region to stay in the Minor Majors division.

Juniors (aka "Metal Cleats")
This division is designed to get athletes ready to play high school baseball. This is an instructional division. Most other local leagues also have a Senior (Senior Majors) division which is more competitive.

Players with a league age of 13 and 14 must play in this division. The Juniors play on 90' bases, the same size field as the pros!


Rookies (aka Coach Pitch)
This instructional division is for players who are ready to move up from T-Ball, but not quite ready for player-pitch. This is an adult-pitch (coach-pitch) division.

This division is recommended for players with a league age of 6 to 9, depending upon skill level.
