Bordentown Little League Baseball/Softball: Welcome
Friday, February 5
Due to the coming snowstorm, player evaluations scheduled for Saturday, February 6th for the baseball majors, minors and juniors divisions has been postponed. Majors and minors division evaluations will now be scheduled for Tuesday, February 9th -- majors at 7:15 and minors at 5:30. These will still be in the batting cage at Gilder Park. Juniors division evaluations will now be scheduled for Sunday, February 14th at 2:00 in the batting cage.
TONIGHT'S (FRIDAY, FEB 5TH) MAJORS AND MINOR EVALUATIONS WILL STILL BE HELD AS SCHEDULED.

The softball clinic on February 6th has been cancelled because of the snow.
Wednesday, January 13
Player evaluations for those participating in the baseball majors (11/12), minors (9/10) and juniors division (7s that played juniors in 2009 and all 8s) have been scheduled as follows:
Majors:
Friday, February 5th - 7:00 pm until 8:30
Saturday, February 6th - 10:30 am until 12:00
Minors:
Friday, February 5th - 5:30 pm until 7:00
Saturday, Februrary 6th - 12:00 until 1:30
Juniors:
Saturday, February 6th - 8:30 a.m. until 10:30
Saturday, February 13th - 12:00 until 2:00
All registered players need to attend only 1 try-out. All evaluations will be held at the batting cage at Gilder Park. Players should wear sneakers and bring their bats, helmets and gloves if they have one.

If you are registering your son for the boys major division, contact Matt at 609-284-6770 as soon as possible so that we can secure a spot in the division. Once the division is full, 11 year old players will be placed in the minors division, and 12 year old players may be placed on a wait list or in the 50/70 division.

Wednesday, January 13
On January 11th, Little League International announced the creation of a new baseball division that will feature a 50 foot pitchers mound (vs. current 46 feet) and 70 foot bases (vs. current 60). Players that are age 12 and 13 are eligible to participate in this division, and may participate in both the traditional majors division (46/60 for 11 and 12 year olds) and the senior division (60/90 for 13 and 14 year olds).
This new division will feature leading, drop third strikes, big barrel bats, etc. and is meant to help players transition from the traditional Little League field to the professional-sized basebal field used by high school, senior league and middle school teams.
The board of directors of Bordentown Little League is looking into how to implement this new division for the 2010 season. More information will come to those players that are 12 years old this year, and those that were 12 years old last year.

Baseball clinics start up again on Friday, January 8th. Clinics for boys from age 6 through 12 are available as follows:
Ages 8 thru 12
Pitchers – Mondays 1/11, 1/18, 1/25, 2/1, and 2/8
Catchers – Tuesdays 1/12, 1/19, 1/26, 2/2 and 2/9 (only 1 group from 6:30 until 7:45)
Hitting – Fridays 1/8, 1/15, 1/22, 1/29 and 2/12
Players age 8-10 (as of April 30, 2010) 6:30 – 7:45 pm
Players age 10-12 (as of April 30, 2010) 7:45 - 9:00 pm
Cost: $30.00 per set of clinics
Ages 6 thru 8
Clinic is only for boys in the “Rookie” or Junior Division (ages 6 thru 8)Saturdays 1/9, 1/16, 1/23, 1/30 and 2/13
Clinic times are 9:00-10:00, 10:00-11:00 and 11:00-noon
Cost: $22.50 for the entire 5 week program
Agility & Strength Training 6 week session
Starts Monday, January 11th and ends Friday, February 19th
Players age 9-12 (as of April 30, 2010) 5:15-6:15 pm
Cost: $50.00 for the entire 6 week program
