In House Basketball Pogram Information
IN-HOUSE BASKETBALL PROGRAM
General Information: The In-House program is an instructional program designed to teach basketball skills and sportsmanship. The In-House program is less intense, less time consuming and less competitive than the Traveling Program.
Eligibility: All students who reside or attend schools within St. Anthony/New Brighton Independent School District 282 are welcome to play in the In-House program. Enrollment is limited to boys and girls in grades 3 - 8.
Registration Procedure/Fees: The registration fee for the In-House Program is $110.00 for the 2008-2009 season (maximum $280.00 per family). Make your check payable to SAVSB. IN-HOUSE REGISTRATION FORMS MUST BE RECEIVED BY SEPTEMBER 20, 2009. Registrations received after September 20 must include an additional $10.00 late fee and will be placed on a waiting list for future consideration as team space permits. No refunds after the first game.

Team Formation/Notification:
Players will be notified by their coach by November 1. Teams are formed by a “draft” type of process.
Coaches: The In-House program is dependent on volunteer coaches. Individuals interested coaching in-house should complete and mail in a coaching application available under the "Handouts" section of this web site. A Coaches’ Certification Meeting is scheduled for late October. Attendance and certification is strongly encouraged. Team rosters and coaching information are handed out at this meeting.
Practice/Game Schedule: Teams can expect to practice one time per week for one to one and one-half hours per session. Practice days are usually run Monday through Sunday. Teams will usually play one game per week. Games are usually Saturdays with an occasional Thursday evening game possible. Practices begin in November with the game schedule beginning in mid November and continuing through late February.
Year-end Tournament: Boys and Girls teams at the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade levels may be involved in a year-end In-House tournament mid to late February with the IBA.
