See or contact your parent rep if:
1. You will miss a practice or a game due to illness or vacation. Advance notice is best! Make your best effort to be there at all times! Your coach and team mates are counting on you!
2. If you miss an event, a game, or practice, it is your responsibility to touch base with your parent rep to receive important information or handouts.
3. If you have a concern or question regarding the coach, playing time, practice issues, anything, see your parent rep first! That is the protocol.
Parents and Spectators:
These children and coaches spend a great deal of time preparing for the season. Your coach always has everyone's best interest in mind. Obnoxious behavior at any time during the season is unacceptable and unfair. Please voice concerns in the manner outlined.
The biggest issue is always playing time. Please attend orientation to hear your coaches' philosophy or guidelines for playing time. We support our coaches and their decisions. Most feel that a player needs to attend practice, be cooperative at all times, pay attention to instruction, and execute his responsibilities. In other words, they are looking for 100% from each player. Those who give it will be rewarded at game time!
It is impossible in the sport of football to administer totally equal playing time for each individual. There are a lot of factors involved. We have players who have been in this program for 7 years. Each level usually consists of 1st or 2nd year players within that level. For example, a 2nd year pee wee may be more experienced and better qualified to see more time than a 1st year pee wee. BUT THAT'S NOT ALWAYS THE CASE! Your player may have been a star as a 2nd year pee wee and not see as much time as a 1st year pony. Moving from one level to the next is a dramatic change for most players. Keep this in mind. A player may confide in a coach that he doesn't want to go into a game without the parent's knowledge of this. This happens more than you realize. Some kids truly enjoy the social aspect of this team sport, and they're completely satisfied with just that. Please try to understand all circumstances before jumping to conclusions.
When addressing issues with your parent rep and/or coach, make sure it is your child's issue and not yours.
All of these items and more are addressed in your "Code of Conduct" which every player, cheerleader, and parent is asked to read, sign, and submit to their parent rep. prior to the first practice. THANK YOU in advance for your cooperation and support!
