Boca Jets Optimist Foundation of Boca Raton is celebrating 45 years of commitment to the development of the boys and girls of Boca Raton. The tackle football teams and the cheerleading squads have provided countless hours of entertainment for our community while they have been given the opportunity to develop valuable life skills such as team work, commitment, self-discipline and a spirit of community service.

Players are expected to attend every practice, and to arrive and be picked up on time. This demanding schedule requires our student athletes to balance (school) work and play. Practice attendance may affect game participation.

All games are played on Saturdays; the PWs begin at 9:00 and games begin one after the other throughout the day 90s usually start at 10:30, 100s at noon, 110s at 1:30. 120s at 3:00, 135s at 4:30, Unlimiteds at 6:00). There is also an All-Star game on November 21st, for which each team sends five players.
PLAYING TIME: The Boca Jets play in a competitive league; there are no minimum playing time rules. MAKING A TEAM DOES NOT GUARANTEE PLAYING TIME. The team’s coaches determine position and the amount of playing time.
OPPONENTS: The Boca Jets are proud to belong to the AYFL, South Florida’s premiere youth athletic league. Our home games are at Patch Reef Park and away games are at other AYFL team locations which include Coral Springs, Tamarac, West Pines, Pembroke Pines, Cooper City, Sunrise, Davie, Plantation, Weston, Coconut Creek, Ft. Lauderdale and Northeast Ft. Lauderdale. The Boca Jets do not provide transportation.
PARENT INVOLVEMENT: WE NEED YOUR HELP! We encourage parents to get involved and help to make the football/cheerleading experience the best it can be for our kids. There are many areas in which to help -- team managers, statisticians, homecoming committee, field set-up and take-down, chain gang, announcers, holiday parade committee, etc. See a board member for more information about these opportunities.
