3. Minutes of the last meeting were read and accepted.

FINANCIAL STATEMENT

4. Treasurer presented the finacial statement. Current Financial situation is good. All teams are paid up on registration fees except one.

5. a. Rob Ferrell has volunteered to stay on as Treasurer until the end of the season.

b. Bandits have not paid the balance ($500.00) to date for this season. Must be contacted. Also the issue of an outstanding balance of $400.00 from last year from the Lighting team must be addressed. The President stated he would bring this up with the team rep. It was decided that the Bandits must pay this years fee in full prior to the Aug Tournament.

c. Oakville Parks and Rec has now been paid. Harold will hand deliver the chq.

d. Oakville Umpires will be paid ASAP. Carl will deliver them the chq’s on the 5 July 01.

e. Parks have been booked for the 22 and 29 of July for all Rainouts and cancelled games. Teams are to review the Web site for their schedule. 22^nd July games will be played at 16 Hollow park in Oakville. 29^th July games will be played at Sherwood Park.

f. All teams were given another 6 game balls. More will be ordered. Anyone still requiring balls is to contact Rob Ferrell.

NEW BUSINESS

6. a. It was decided that new bases would be purchased for the Oakville teams. Having the umpire bring the bases has not been working. 4 new sets of bags will be bought and 2 safety bags. Carl will talk to Ron Belcot to see if he can get some at a good price. Pete will provide the wood plates to all the Oakville teams.

b. It was voted on that all games cancelled by a Coach/Rep for whatever reason (excluding rainouts) will be considered a default effective this date. We do not have the parks, time to rebook. Prior cancelled games will be rebooked on the 22 July or 29^th July dates.

c. It was voted on and accepted that there be an amendment to By Law 12B. To read " All members of the Burlington Major Slo Pitch League must be of the male gender and 30 years of age or older during the (Playing) calendar year".

d. Weekend Tournament is scheduled for the 10 to the 12 Aug weekend. Will be a 16-team tournament, 4 divisions, round robin within your division, top two teams from each division advancing. Prizes will be awarded for the Winner and runner up of an A division and Winner and runner up of an B division. Finals will be played on the Sunday. (Prizes are A winner $200, A runner up - $150, B winner $150, B runner up $100. Bob Macintosh to be contacted to confirm booking of the Rotary Club for Beer tent. Pete will look after scheduling of the games. Bill will look into booking umpires and parks. Waiting for confirmation of all teams that they are in the tournament prior to final scheduling. The Bags that will be used will be the new bags purchased by the Oakville teams.

e. If any team has a rainout or no umpire shows up to a game or the lights do not work. They are to contact Bill and let him know for his records.

7. Next meeting will be held at Arnorlds Sport Bar in Oakville at 7:30 on the 30th of July 01. Directions: QEW – Dorval exit – South – Turn Right on Speers. First street, turn right ( Morden ) – go to the end of the street. It’s on your right hand side. 485 Morden Rd Oakville.
