2012 Summer Tournament

Congratulations to the Brewskies who edged Locals 10 - 7 in the finals & the Mustangs who defeated the Envoys in the consolation final (sorry I don't have the score) of the mid-season charity tournament. With only 8 teams we still raised close to $1100 for Burlington Stroke Recovery Canada. Special thanks to Dave Hughes who did a masterful job of organizing the event, all of the volunteers who donated their time to work in the beer garden & to the teams who participated. Hopefully next year we can get a few more teams involved & bump that total up significantly.

Thanks again everyone,

Darin

2012 Season has Begun

  • Last minute reminders‏

Just a couple last minute reminders as we kick the season off.
1) After the final game of the night please remember to turn the lights off & lock the light box. This goes for all diamonds. Although they are on a timer, we have been requested to turn them off once         the final game of the night has been completed.
2) Please clean up any garbage around the diamond & be very cognizant of the surroundings regarding alcohol in the parking lot. It is not permitted. In the past the authorities have been accommodating as far as allowing us to have a beverage in the parking lot, but we don't want to be made an example for the other leagues & lose our permits should a complaint be issued. I would recommend cans or plastic cups for your Refreshments & again please keep the parking lot clean.
3) Again I hate to harp on this but please update your SPO roster. Remember, a player is not covered by the insurance unless their name is on the SPO roster.
4) Lastly the email address to send in the score has been changed to bmsplscores@gmail.com   It is up to the winning team to submit the final score or the home team in the event of a tie.

                                                                                                                                                                                   Thanks, Darin
