Blue Storm Lacrosse: Welcome

Lacrosse is Tewaarathon in the Mohawk language, which means "little brother of war". Lacrosse is one of the oldest team sports in North America. Modern day lacrosse descends from and resembles games played by various Native American communities. Lacrosse was played to toughen young warriors for combat, for recreation, as part of festivals, and for the bets involved. [Wikipedia]

There are many life lessons that kids can learn by playing lacrosse. It’s a great way to build self-esteem and build teamwork skills. Giving kids a venue where they can develop their skills and overcome challenges, helps them believe in themselves. With the heightened self-esteem that they gain from lacrosse, kids can strive for and accomplish more because they will believe in themselves.

For boys and girls, we run outdoor spring programs and indoor winter programs for U9, U11, U13, and U15 age groups. We have players that are just starting out as well as seasoned veterans. Our Coaches are certified in the Positive Coaching program sponsored by the Positive Coaching Alliance, which is a national non-profit with the mission to provide all youth and high school athletes a positive, character-building youth sports experience, and we take pride in what we accomplish every year.
