In 1983 many interested parents filed a petition with the Northwest Aquatic League to start a local swim team. Over past years the BirnamWood/Fairfax Blue Marlins has provided our neighborhood youth with a positive family experience. Since then the team has grown to well over a hundred swimmers and is still growing. The swim team now serves the following neighborhoods: Birnam Wood 1,2,3,4,& 5, Fairfax 1,2 & 3, Villages of Spring Oaks 1,2,3 & 4, Sandpiper and Sandpiper Trails. The Marlins have had many stand out swimmers and won several district and and regional meets. Our swimmers hold many pool records around the city. But most of all, we are reconized as having one of the finest summer recreational swim programs in our area. Our team has been lucky enough to have experienced coaches that have been with our team for over 10 years! We are always looking for new swimmers, volunteers, and sponsors.
Come join our swim family, all are welcome. Our team is made up of swimmers that range from 3 to 18 years of age and you don't have to know how to swim to come join us.
