Spring 2008 update - 14U and a new team, 8U
Fall 2007 was the inaugural season for the Blue Angels 14 and under (14U) fastpitch travel ball team. The season was a great success. We played in eleven (11) tournaments during the fall 2007 season, finishing second in two and third in three others. This was remarkable because all of our pitchers were only twelve (12) years old at the start of the season.
During the spring 2008 school softball season, all of the girls played for either the junior varsity or varsity teams for their respective schools. Playing travel ball has strengthened their self-esteem as well as their talent in ball. Participation in the travel ball organization imparts important lessons such as good sportsmanship, self-discipline, teamwork, as well as how to win and lose with dignity and respect. An additional benefit to the travel ball is that it keeps the girls out of trouble.
Interest in the program has grown in our area. We are excited about adding an 8 and under (8U) team to our organization this year. Tryout information on the 8U team is below.

Tryouts - 8U team
Try-outs for the 8U Blue Angels Fastpitch Travel Ball Team will be held on Sunday, 6/15/08, @ 3:30 pm, and also on Sunday 6/22/08, @ 3:30 pm. Try-outs will be held @ the Holtville Youth League ball field.
