JEFFERSON VS KENNEDY - GAME AND FREE COMMUNITY PICNIC!
Join us for the game of the season - Jefferson vs. Kennedy Girls Fastpitch Softball Game Monday, April 21. 9th,10th and JV play at 3:30 p.m. and Varsity at 5:00 p.m. on Dred Scott field 2, 10820 Bloomington Ferry Road.
There will be an all community picnic sponsored by Bloomington Fastpitch Association after the games at Dred Scott 2 to celebrate the only Kennedy vs. Jefferson softball game ofMi the year!
Wear your Kennedy or Jefferson colors, your elementary school spirit wear or your Bloomington fastpitch spirit wear as you cheer on some of the top softball players in the state of Minnesota! TRYOUTS POSTPONED
**Make-up tryouts for weather or players who will miss both days of tryouts will be held at Dred Scott on Monday night at 6:00 PM
Due to the inclement weather over the past 24 hours and a forecast of more rain/snow over the next couple of days, the tryouts scheduled for this weekend have been postponed.

WINTER CLINICS BEGIN - SUNDAY, JANUARY 6TH:
Bloomington Fastpitch Association winter softball clinics begin this Sunday, January 6 and continue Sundays (except Super Bowl Sunday!) into March at the Jefferson or Kennedy Activity Center
These clinics are free to girls who played BFA summer or fall ball in 2007. A $25 registration fee will be collected from those girls who were not on BFA teams last year. This fee can be applied toward the summer '08 registration fee. PARENTS - please stay to help us run these clinics if you are able. We will have different stations for the girls to practice hitting and fielding. It takes a lot of people to keep the girls moving through the stations. GIRLS- bring a friend! Thank you. See you on Sunday!
Pitching Clinics will be held at Southwood Elementary gyms beginning the week of January 7. Instruction will be provided on Monday nights from 6 PM - 8 PM. Tuesday and Thursday nights will be open gyms from 6 PM - 8 PM for pitching practice.You must bring your own catcher.

Bloomington Fastpitch Association (BFA) is an American Softball Association (ASA)/ Minnesota Sports Federation (MSF) Junior Olympic program. BFA sponsors girls traveling fastpitch teams in five age groups: 10 and under (10U), 12 and under (12U), 14 and under, (14U), 16 and under (16U), and 18 and under (18U). Summer leagues are the primary focus, but fall league teams are also a part of the program.
The emphasis at the 10U and12U levels is on learning the fundamentals of the game, playing as a team, and having fun. Teams at the older age levels also stress fundamentals but add more game strategy and advanced skills. Teams are limited to 12-14 players.
BFA is a volunteer organization. Most of our coaches are volunteers: all of our coaches attend a US Junior Olympic Training Clinic. We welcome volunteers at all levels, from scorekeepers to coaches to board members.
