DeMarini Open Tourney
First Place at Demarini Open this weekend. (June 7-8) Not a bad showing for our fist tourney. Hope to keep it going in the next tourney. We started the weekend going 1-1 in pool play which put us in the 2nd spot in our pool. In the 3rd game we played Lucky Beaver and Lost, that dropped us in to the silver bracket. Our first game in the silver bracket was not as easy as we thought it would be we won but didn't win by much, that was the last game for Saturday. First game on Sunday in the wins bracket was against Harvest Meats, we showed up but our bats did not, we lost. Next game was against Crash Davis our bats showed up for this one and we won in the 6th. This win put us in the championship game against Harvest Meats, we would have to beat them twice to win the tourney. The first game want well and we played from ahead for the entire game. The second game was not as easy Harvest Meat jumped ahead 9-0 in the first inning and they scored again in the second inning making it 10-0. From this point on we made our come back taking the lead in the 6th inning and held them in the 7th inning to win the tourney.
