Finally in the 3rd quarter Bulldawgs got on the the board with a TD reception by Marvin (Disco) Gumbs the extra point was converted by Dwayne Backus putting the Dawgs up 7-6. Falcons forced a BullDawgs turnover and converted with a short touchdown run putting the Falcons up 12-7 with four minutes left in the 4th quarter. The Bulldawgs drove 70 yards to score a go ahead touchdown with less than one minute remaining. In just two plays the BullDawgs dreams of starting 2-0 went down the drain with a deep pass setting up the Falcons with a 1st and goal with 10 seconds to go, the Falcons then punched it in with a short td run putting them up 20-12.
