Wednesday, January 27
The Bob Jones Wrestlers went 4-0 at the Opelika Duals to finish the dual season with a 13-1 record. The best winning percentage for a dual team in school history. Great job Patriots!
Tuesday, January 19
The Bob Jones Wrestling Team had a long stretch of wrestling after an impossed snow break. First it was off to Huntsville High where the patriots defeated both Huntsville and Sparkman High School only giving up two matches out of 28. The next night it was off to Tennessee to face the number one ranked Private School (Christian Brothers) and the number two ranked Public School (Science Hill). The Patriots beat Science Hill while hanging tough in a loss to Christian Brothers. Anthony Bruno beat Parkland's wrestler to win the 2010 Richardson Brawl, while Josh Shields wrestled fantastic to reach the finals. The weekend finished up with the Patriots beating Ravenwood (TN) to win the 2010 Dick Clem Invitational. Champions included: Jesse Webster, Josh Shields, Cody Johnson, Anthony Bruno, Mac Clark, Brandon Abejon, and Ryan Stenger.
Thursday, December 31
The Bob Jones Wrestling team had a strong showing placing fourth in one of the southeasts best tournaments. 11 Bob Jones wrestlers placed. Including Anthony Bruno's win over 4 time All-American Tanner Moon. Ryan Clark also had a very strong showing with his championship victory in the 160 lb. division. Patrick Carter made the finals and Josh Shields had a very strong tournament to finish 3rd in the 145lb. Division. Great job boys!
Thursday, December 31
The BJHS Blue Team had a stong showing against Varsity opponents to finish 7th at the Battlefield duals. They defeated section opponents Sparkman 51-18 and barely lost to section opponents Buckhorn 41-39 before defeating Creekwood 39-36. Their only other loss came to the tournament Champions Independence (TN). This performance came just one week after their performance at OaK Grove which saw Demarcus Hafley shine as a finalist, as well as Antonio Wilson (3rd), Austin Fuller (3rd), Terrell Sledge (3rd) and Micah Hatley (4th) turn in solid performances in the Varsity tournament.
Thursday, December 31
The BJHS Patriots placed third in the King of the Mat tournament after a strong first day. Finishing as Runner-ups in the tournament were Senior Anthony Bruno and Junior Tyler Ratliff. 3 Time Defending North Carolina State Champions Parkland won the event. On day 3 the Patriots defeated the host North Davidson in a Dual 75-6.
Thursday, December 17
Congrats to the Bob Jones High School Wrestlers who won the 2009 Indian Classic by over 60 pts! Champions included Anthony Bruno (125), Ryan Stenger (189), and Austin Clark (103). Cody Johnson (130) and Josh Shields (145) both finished second.
Tuesday, December 8
Bob Jones Wrestlers cruise to the win the 29th annual Huntsville invitational by over 70 pts. Seven wrestlers brought home titles: Brandon Abejon, Anthony Bruno, Cody Johnson, Aldon Whitehead, Patrick Carter, Ryan Clark, and Ryan Stenger.

Thursday, October 15
THere will be two remaining wrestling parent and sign-up meetings. The first will take place Monday, October 19th @ 5:00 p.m. in the BJHS Wrestling/Baseball complex (back of the building). The seond will take place on Tuesday October 27th @ 7 p.m. in the same location. Practices for Middle School begin October 19th and Practices for High School students begin October 26th.

Congratulations to both graduating seniors as they were named to the NHSCA Acadmeic All-American teams. They join Anthony Bruno as our third NHSCA All-American this year (Anthony was a 2009 Junior Nationals place-winner).
Nicholas Bryan (Alabama): Finished 62-15 and fifth in Class 6A state tournament at 140 pounds at Bob Jones High School; career record 95-40. Earned 3.61 GPA and scored 29 on the ACT; will attend Auburn University.
Edmund Semmes (Alabama): Finished 58-16 and sixth in Class 6A state tournament at 160 pounds at Bob Jones High School; career record 128-58. Earned 4.03 GPA, scored 31 on the ACT, and ranks in the top 15 per cent of his class; will attend the University of Alabama-Birmingham.

Every athlete that wishes to participate in any sport must complete the STAR Sportsmanship on-line course. If the student does not complete this course, they CANNOT participate beginning in August. You may go ahead and complete it, but we will be going to the computer lab as well. If you do complete it now, Coach Edwards needs a printed certificate in his possession.
