Coach Rose, a 1988 graduate of Muscle Shoals High School, joins the Bob Jones staff this year as the offensive coordinator. After playing junior college baseball at Itawamba Community College and Brewer State Junior College, Coach Rose received his B.S. and masters degree from The University of North Alabama. Coach Rose began his coaching career at Handley High School, where he was the head coach for varsity baseball, assistant varsity football coach and head football coach for 9th grade. In 1994, Kevin began coaching at Deshler High School and was there until 2000. In 1996, he became the offensive coordinator and was part of the 1998 and 1999 State Championship football teams at Deshler. He was the head baseball coach in 2000 and was selected as the Times Daily coach of the year. Coach Rose became the head football coach and athletic director at Sheffield High School in 2000. They were the Region Champions in 2001, winning 12 games that season. Coach Rose was again selected as coach of the year for the Times Daily. Sheffield qualified for the state playoffs six of his seven years as head coach. In 2004, he was selected to coach in the North-South All-Star game. Last year, Kevin coached the running backs at Hoover High School. He and his wife Heather have been married for 13 years. They have two children: Kaylee (11) and Caden (6).
