The High School Jazz Band is selected yearly by audition. The Jazz Band focuses on the preparation and performance of literature in a variety of styles within the umbrella of the jazz genre. The Jazz Band performs four departmental concerts during the school year, as well as several performances within the Bixby Community. The Jazz Band also competes at no less than three ensemble competitions a year, as well as individual competitions such as OBA Jazz and All-State Jazz.
