What can I say? Rustin played extremely well! A very disciplined team. Shanahan had some early opportunities and held Rustin off for the first 22 minutes. Final score Rustin 3 – Shanahan 0.

Today's Varsity and JV games against Rustin will be played at Ciccarone Field in West Chester. Ciccarone Field is located at 601 Westown Rd in West Chester.
JV game begins at 5pm and Varsity will play at 7pm.
The bus departs Shanahan at 4:05pm

Shanahan Varsity gets 1st victory over Sun Valley!
Shanahan started the match a very fast and controlled pace. Matt Fioravanti found the back of the net in the 11th minute on a beautiful through ball from Lucas Lieberman. The rest of the first half was very sloppy. Sun Valley scored with 10 minutes to go in the first half.
Second half started out much like the first half ended. Things changed for Shanahan in the 60th minute when Shanahan was awarded a free kick from 30 yards out. Sam Diffendall smashed a ball off the frame that was immediately followed by a Brad Perz header into the back of the net. Shanahan kept their foot on the gas for the rest of the match, scoring another goal in the 70th minute (Fioravanti.) All in all, we played well. We still need to take better care of the ball! Varsity and JV will play at Sun Valley on Tuesday. This is a rescheduled game.

Shanahan starts season with a tough loss
Kennett opened up the scoring with a break away 18 minutes into the first half. Shanahan had a number of scoring opportunities in the first half but failed to find the back of the net. Second half started out strong for Shanahan; however, we did not take care of the ball. In order for us to dominate the attack, we need to connect to feet and run through everything!
Kennett scored 3 more goals in the second half to beat Shanahan 4-0. Three of the four total goals were scored on break always due to defensive break downs. We are a better team than the score showed today. All things considered, we played well for not having a full training session in a week. This was not the best way to start our season; we will chalk Kennett up to first game jitters and move on.
