The Birmingham Unified Youth Football Organization (BUYFO) was created in 2005 to meet our community's longstanding need for recreational youth football & cheerleading programs. The BUYFO is part of the Northern Youth Football League (NYFL). We play and cheer against established teams from Clarkston, Lake Orion, Lapeer, Auburn Hills, Brandon, Waterford, and Pontiac. Freshman Teams
The NYFL is working on completing this season's schedule. In doing so, it realized that our league had one more JV team than Freshmen teams. This caused a number of scheduling/logistical issues. In response to the league's request, and to evenly balance the number of Freshmen and JV teams, the Patriots will host two Freshmen teams this season: Freshmen White and Freshmen Blue. Coach Bob Bowman, aided by Coach John Jackson and others, will lead the Freshmen Blue team. Coach Greg Kolwich, assisted by others, will lead the Freshmen White team. The two Freshmen teams will be combining Summer Camp events, therefore eliminating Summer Camp scheduling issues.
If you know of any 8-9 year old classmates, friends, neighbors, etc. interested in playing Patriots this season, we would be pleased to welcome them aboard!! They may call Registration Director, Denise Bowman for details (248-670-1241).
