Kenning Park Redevelopment Plan
Dear Birmingham LL Parents, This cmessage may be the most important email ever sent by BLL. I'm sure you have noticed during your child's practice that the fields are quickly deteriorating, to the point of not being safe. We have some major plans for the redevelopment of Kenning Park, but WE NEED YOUR HELP. Please see the attachment above which outlines our new plan for the park. The design will renovate the fields and add drainage tiles as well as grass infields. There will be a storage/concession building and new training equipment. We have cleared two major obstacles and we will be meeting with the City Manager very soon. Our intent is to privately finance the entire project and although we have an excellent start we need your help in the following areas: Volunteers - If you are willing to put in a couple of hours for a worthy cause that will be appreciated by your kids and those in the future. Bottle Can Drive - Begin saving your bottles and cans. We will schedule our "Bottle Drive" in mid-May. Donation Form - Please open the Contribution Form and make a donation Today! Silent Auction - During our All Star Event we will have a "Silent Auction" before during and after the event in the Ice Arena. If you are interested in helping or donating, Sports Memorabilia, vacation homes, Tickets to Sporting events, etc. please contact the site admin.
