Ten Commandments of Little League



  1. I shall not criticize the umpire unless I am prepared to assume their duties
  2. I shall not complain about anyone unless I have labored more hours on the Little League program than they have
  3. I shall not be a grand stand manager
  4. I shall remember that only 9 team members can play at one time
  5. I shall not be critical unless willing to put out the necessary effort to correct my concern
  6. I shall set an example of sportsmanship for my child to follow
  7. I shall remember that all coaches, managers, and league officials are volunteers
  8. I shall remember that all league officers and other personnel must earn a living and cannot spend all their time on Little League business
  9. I shall offer my services to help improve the league whenever possible
  10. I shall encourage my child to follow the Little League pledge


Massachusetts Hazing Law

The Billerica School Department is required by law to provide any and all youth organizations that used School resources with the Massachusetts Law regarding Hazing.  A copy of the law is available here.  All organizations are required to follow these laws during any League sponsored activities.  Billerica Little League will abide by this law regardless of the location of a League sponsored event.  If you have any concerns or issues as they pertain to Hazing please contact the League's President at president@billericalittleleague.org.

Bat Size for Senior & Big League

Bats used in the Senior League and Big League divisions must conform to the Little League International rules governing bat size. An overview of the requirements are:

Bat must be BBCOR certified 

Bat Dimension not to exceed 2 5/8" in diameter

Bat weight to be no more than 3 ounces less than the length of the bat (no more than Drop 3).  So a bat that is 33 inches in length, may not weigh less than 30 ounces.
