League gives Tigers the boot:
The league has declined to let the Tigers in the league this year because they failed to pay the 2002 fee on time. They were told back in November that the money would be due on March 19 and couldn't find a sponser or raise any money in time.

League announces 3:00 time changes:
Carol got a call from Artie last night in regards to the game times. He wants us to make the games 1 1/2 hrs apart....so they would go 3:30, 5:00, 6:30 and 8:00. These would not start this week but the following week. The only reason they want to do this is because last week the umpires stood around for 1/2 in between games. It's not official yet that the change will happen. The league is waiting for feedback from other teams in the league.

All-star game latest:
This years All-star game will take place on Saturday July 13 at Labine at 6:30. The homerun contest will take place at 5:00. The game was originaly schedueled for June 16 but because we have had so many cancelled games due to rain this year, the league has voted to use June 16 to play make up games. Each team will send two male and one female players to the game to represent their team. One alternate from each team will be chosen also. Alternates will be allowed to play if a team fails to send less than three players. Big Top team members will vote , a week or two before the game, to determine who will go represent our team.
Last year Big Top Manager Bobby Cooper managed the B Division Team to a 18-16 victory over the A Division. Big Tops David Wade hit 3 homeruns and drove in 11 runs leading the way.
