Cats season ends with disappointing loss to Van Buren 0-4

It was a tale of two halves as the North Little Rock Charging Wildcats took on tournament favorite Van Buren in the quarterfinals of the Class 5A State championships. Our Cats dominated possession and shots in the first period but could not get the ball into the net. But the Pointers, who had racked up 9 goals against their previous opponent Cabot, only led 1-0 at intermission.

When the teams resumed play, the tide began to turn. Van Buren went to the attack and added a goal on a Free Kick. The inability to score contiued for NLR while Van Buren added 2 more to make the final 4-0.

The Cats finish the regular season 10-3-4
(3-1-2 in AAAAA Central Play) and 11-4-4 overall. Thanks to all our seniors and their parents. For the rest - there is next year!!!!
