Big Lake Juniors: Tryout Information

Tryouts are:

          Saturday, November 10, 2012                     Monday, November 26, 2012

                10, 12 and 14 & Under                               15, 16, 17 and 18 & Under

                  See schedule below for appropriate time.                                                    7-9PM

4 Steps Required to Tryout 

1.  Purchase or renew your AAU Membership HERE (Card must be presented at tryouts.)

·   Please use Club Code:  XXTTAF

·   Please note that AAU has updated their website but your username and password will still work from previous years.

2.  Complete BLJ Online Tryout Registration Form HERE

3.  Print, Complete and have Notarized the 2013 USAV Medical Release Form (To be turned in at tryouts.)

4.  $100 Tryout Fee (Will be returned if not placed on a team.)

Age Determination

The age determination date for AAU Volleyball is September 1.  Below are the 2013 age requirements for each age division.  If you are unsure which division your daughter belongs please email us her date of birth and we will help you determine this.  **All players are required to tryout with her perspective Age Division regardless of the team she played for last year.  

10 & Under - Born on or after September 1, 2002

11 & Under - Born on or after September 1, 2001

12 & Under - Born on or after September 1, 2000

13 & Under - Born on or after September 1, 1999

14 & Under - Born on or after September 1, 1998

15 & Under - Born on or after September 1, 1997

16 & Under - Born on or after September 1, 1996

17 & Under - Born on or after September 1, 1995

18 & Under - Born on or after September 1, 1994

                       or players who were born on or after September 1, 1993 and are high school students during some part of the current academic year.

Tryout Times

Check-In for tryouts will take place in the cafeteria where you will need to present your required items.  Your daughter will not be able to tryout unless all FOUR requirements have been met.  We will also be trying on uniforms to determine the most accurate and comfortable fit for your daughter.  We are trying to keep this process as streamline as possible and you being on time is an important factor. 

Girls participating in tryouts are asked not to wear sleeveless shirts.  The girls will be wearing name tags and they will be more visible on a t-shirt.

Parents:  Tryouts are closed to Coaches and Players ONLY.  This will allow coaches to concentrate on the court and your child and less about those around them.  You are welcome to wait in the cafeteria during tryouts and may meet your daughter outside the gym at the conclusion of her tryout.
