Big Lake Juniors: Big Lake News

March 23rd, our 16's team traveled to Vero Beach to win the the AAU Excel Gold Championship.  They were undefeated the entire day.  Pictured left to right Coach KellyAnn Campbell, Sarah Hurst, Carrie Wharin, Bailey Farless, Makayla Root, Alyssa Coleman, Chasity Harmon, and Jenna Thomas.  Not pictured Lexi Ward and Brittani Mellette, Carrie Wharin filled in as setter.

The 10-Under B team competed in Rockledge on February 23rd in a 4 team tournament.  Coach Pam Matthews had this to say about her team: "Every game they play, they are improving and getting more serves in and having more rallies.  Considering how young the team is, they are playing excellent volleyball".  Sydney Matthews led the team in service points while Giselle Micco and Jana Johnson had the most digs.  Lexi Thomas did an excellent job on serve receive.  Ana Robinson served her first point in a game and Kaylie May made several great passes.  It was a great team effort!!
