Breakers 4- Charles River 1 - The girls played a great game against Charles River . They played hard every shift being first to the puck, working the boards and driving hard to the net. Goals were scored by Abby, Shannon and Sara. Assists went to Dori, Ally H. Shauna, Marissa and Courtney.

The Breakers played Lewiston at the Colisee on 12/19. There was a mix up with game times and the goalie for the Breakers did not make the game. But little did the team know Sophia would pull out some "ninja skills" on defense and help out in a defensemen/goalie position. The Lady Breakers held Lewiston to 2 goals.
Sunday, November 21
The Lady Breakers travelled to Concord today to play Assabet U-19 white, winning 3-2. The team played hard and battled up and down the ice the entire game. The Breakers were missing 2 defensemen today, so Samantha, Sarah M and Megan ( the "Dog Bone Award" winner, who played an end to end, gritty game) helped out with the defense. They all did a great job working with Ally S, battling in the corners and holding the blue line. The combination of Shannon, Sara and Abby got the first 2 goals which came in the second period. Abby scored a goal from the slot off a pass from Shannon. Sara got the second goal of the period, stuffing a rebound past the Assabet goalie. Biddeford was now winning 2-1, Assabet was then awarded a penalty shot? Tie game 2-2. With 5 minutes left in the game, Lauren scored the winning goal after a flurry of activity in front of the Assabet net, the assists go to Dori and Samantha. Hannah and Ally H played a great transition game, moving the puck in the center of the ice and getting it deep in the zone. Goalies Mariah and Courtney each made several big saves today.

The Lady Breakers played the CT Northern Lights on their home ice today. It was an evenly matched game (both teams attended the Tier 2 Nationals last year).
Offensively Dineen, Craig, Fortier, Ratsup, Martens, S. Farrell and Grover worked together well in many different combinations. Sophia Goulet, Shauna Williams and Abby Rutt helped with offense today as well as combining with Renk and Stranchen on defense.
The first period was scoreless with end to end action. At the beginning of the second period Shannon Farrell and Abby Rutt had a 2-1. Farrell's shot rebounded off the CT goalies pad, Abby Rutt was right there with a beautiful redirection goal as she crashed the net (hard)! The Northern Lights tied the game at the beginning of the third period. With 2:08 left in the game, Abby Rutt passed the puck to Sara Grover who deeked the defense and roofed the puck to the opposite corner to win the game.
Courtney Rickett and Mariah Farrell combined for the win. Great job ladies!
