Biddeford U17/19 Lady Breakers: Welcome
Sunday, November 8
The Lady Breakers skated to a two game victory today at the International Skating Center in Ct against the Ct Northern Lights. What started out as just one game turned into two as a team did not show to play the second game so the Breakers stepped up and played a double header. Thank you parents for allowing this to happen which made the long drive worth while. That was a lot of ice to cover in two games. Really big sheet of ice.
Game one, the Breakers came away with a 4-2 victory and shots on goal were 28-13 in favor of the Breakers. Abbi led off the scoring from Alyssa then Sophia scored form Jordan in the first. Jackie scored in the second from Grace and Abbi scored again in the third from Sophia. We were cycling the puck well to our defense inside the offensive zone. Saundrine stopping 13 shots for the victory.
Game two, the Breakers came away with a 5-0 victory and shots on goal 57-8 in favor of the Breakers. Great pressure all game with Sara starting the scorring off unassisted in the second. The third period noted four goals. Jordan from Becca, Sara from Jackie, Marina unassisted, and Alyssa from Jordan and Marina. Olivia, Marina and Abbi stepped things up playing forward as Shannon was missing due to illness.

First period goal by Marina with the assists by Jordan, Shannon, and Alyssa. Two goals in the second period by Sara and Shannon and assists by olivia and Alyssa. Grace got the fourth goal in the third period with an assist by our goalie Saundrine. This may be her first assist as she never touches the puck, Ha! Ha! I need to be carefull as everyone does not have a sense of humor. "Right big brother".

Both goalies palyed well with Rachel stopping 14 shots and Saundrine stopping 8 shots to bothy secure the shut out victory.
Sunday, November 1
The Lady Breakers sufferred a tough defeat to the Lewiston Maniacs at the Colisee in Lewiston 1-2. Despite out shooting Lewiston 36-10 we just couldn't seem to pull away. Lewiston goalie played well stopping some point blank shots. There is no excuse for the loss we should have put more pucks in the net as we out palyed them for three periods of hockey. Sophia scored the lone goal from the point with assists by Alyssa and Jordan.

The ladies skated an aggressive game today but penalties kept piling up for the Lady Breakers giving Assabett too many oppertunities. Saundrine came away with the tie stopping 38 shots from Assabett allowing the only goal in the second period. Hopefully this will give the girls the confidence they need going into next weekends games.
Sunday, October 18
The Lady Breakers were defeated by the Mass Spitfires at the Biddeford Ice Arena 8-0 for the second game of the day. The Spitfires out played the breakers for the entire second and third periods. Hopefully the girls will learn from this day and capitilize next weekend while workiong hard at practice this week.

Lewiston had the hot goaltending today holding us to just one goal despite many oppertunities. Jordan got the lone goal unassisted. Second period Ariel scored with assists from Jackie and Jordan. Third period Sophia scored with a great low shot from Jackie. Jackie then scored with the assist from Shannon. Sunday, October 4
The Lady Breakers defeated Concord NH 3-1 at the Everett Ice Arena to cap off the second game of the day. Each pairing of defense was able to play a full period at forward for the second game as we were missing Becca and Jordan. There appeared to be more passing back to the points inside the offensive zone this game creating some good quality shots from the point. Grace led off the scoring in the first period unassisted.
