The Buchholz Cross Country Team will be traveling to Deland on Saturday, November 7th to compete in the FHSAA 4A District Meet.  The meet will be held at Sperling Park. 

The Girls Varsity Team will run at 9:00 am and the Boys Varsity Team at 9:30 am.  Admission will be $5.00 per person.

On Saturday, October 24th the Bobcats participated in the Greater North Florida Invitational.  The Girls Varsity Team came in 4th place lead by Sierra Solaun (19:36) who was the overall winner of the race.  Other athletes included Mary Johnson (20:06), Molly Teague (20:54), Mary Kate Barnes (22:44), and Ashley Williamson (25:58). 

The Buchholz Varsity Boys Team came in 1st place out of 10 teams lead by Chris Godwin (16:59) who placed 3rd overall in the race. Other athletes included Andrew Scarborough (17:11), Ryan McDonald (17:27), Joe Monteau (17:48), Andrew Kays (18:28), Luke Thompson (18:50), and Daniel King (19:54).   

The Buchholz Cross Country Team will be traveling to Lake City on Saturday, October 24th to compete in the Greater North Florida Invitational.  The meet will be held at Alligator Park.

The Buchholz Cross Country Team participated in the Little Everglades Pre-State Invitational in Dade City on October 17th.  The team competed in the Boys and Girls Large School Varsity Race and the Boys and Girls JV Race. 

The Girls Varsity Team was the first to run.  The team was lead by Sierra Solaun who finished 2nd out of 149 runners with a time of 19:26.  This was a personal record.  Other members competing were Mary Johnston (20:40 PR), Chantia Taylor (23:12 PR), Casey Robertson (23:53 PR) and Ashley Williamson (25:46). The team finished 11th out of 21 schools. 

The Boys Varsity Team finished 1st overall out of 25 schools.  Chris Godwin lead the team finishing 17th out of 167 runners with a time of 17:05.  Other members competing were Joe Monteau (17:10), Andrew Scarborough (17:13), Ryan McDonald (17:13), Ryan Hundersmarck (17:15), Alex Roundtree (18:33), and Andrew Kays (18:52). 

The Boys JV Team was lead by Daniel King.  He ran a personal best of 17:59.  Luke Thompson (18:42) and Andre Daniels (24:19) also participated in the race.  The Girls JV Team was lead by Kelly Baar. She ran a personal best of 25:19.  Kristina Dorman also competed running a personal best of 28:13.

The Buchholz Cross Country Team will be traveling to the Little Everglades Ranch in Dade City on Saturday, October 17th to participate in the Pre-State Invitational.  Approximately 108 schools will be competing in the 2 day event. 

The Girls Varsity Team will race at 8:10am followed by the Boys Varsity at 8:50am.  Both of the varsity teams will be running in the large school race.  The Girls JV Team will race at 9:30am and the Boys JV Team at 9:50am.  There should be a lot of good competition. 

Parking for the event is $7.00.  There is an entry fee of $5.00 per person with children 6 & under free.

The Buchholz Cross Country Team had a successful showing at the flrunners.com Invitational 10 on Saturday. The day started off with the Girls Varsity race.  Sierra Solaun led the team finishing 2nd overall with a time of 20.20 in a field of 182 runners.  She was followed by Molly Teague 21:29, Mary Kate Barnes 22:33, Chantia Taylor 23:53, Casey Robertson 24:00, and Ashley Williamson 25:05.  The Lady Bobcats came in first competing against 26 Teams. 

The Boys Varsity Team competed in the Boys Varsity Open race.  The team was led by Chris Godwin.  We won the overall race competing against 227 athletes with a time of 16:41.  He was followed by Payton Mitchell with a time of 17:12, Ryan Hundersmarck 17:26, Andrew Scarborough 17:28, Joe Monteau 17:39, Alex Roundtree 18:00, and Andrew Kays 18:40.  The boy's team came in first competing against 32 teams.
