PAL Morphs into 3 Divisions
You better know how to swim because it's all about the water. On June 18th, 2003 the PAL coaches voted 12-2 to split the baseball program into 3 divisions; Bay, Ocean and Lake (new). The Bay will be a B+ league with the top 2 teams qualifying automatically for CCS. The Ocean division will be a B league with only the top team qualifying for an automatic berth and the Lake division will be a C league with only the champion getting a CCS bid. Here is how it shapes up.

2003-A Team of Promise, 2004-A Team With Unfinished Business
On January 26th, the Burlingame Baseball team began a drive to prove to everyone that 2004 will be a team of achievement. Many players have been honing their skills throughout the off-season including; Fall Ball from September till Thanksgiving, participating in a tournament in San Diego during winter break, and hitting in the cage and throwing on their own in December and January.
All this with the goal of picking up right where we left off in the CCS tournament in May. Pitchers will be ready day to throw from day one. Hitters will be striving to hit over .400 (not one or two but up and down the line up), fielders working to make all the plays, and bench players pushing the starting line up.
Buy losing only 5 seniors from the 2003 team, this year's team will be deep and experienced. Two years ago this group as the Frosh/Soph team went 25-1, losing the last game of the season in extra innings. Since then we have added additional talent and we are prepared to make our run at finishing on top.
