There have been several changes in 2005 and the revised Divisions are listed below: BAY DIVISION (BHS plays each team twice) Burlingame Carlmont El Camino Half Moon Bay Menlo-Atherton Terra Nova OCEAN DIVISION (BHS plays each team once) Aragon Capuchino Menlo San Mateo Woodside LAKE DIVISION Hillsdale Mills Jefferson Sequoia South San Francisco Westmoor Panthers are Seated # 6 in CCS Playoffs The CCS pairings have been finalized and Burlingame will play its first game on Thursday May 19th at 4:00 at Washington Park. Detailed below please find the web address to the CCS pairings grid for Division II. As per the grid the top 6 seeds in the 16 team tournament are: 1- Los Gatos 2- Santa Cruz 3- Pioneer 4- Capuchino 5- Soquel 6- Burlingame Key in to your address the following web-link http://www.cifccs.org/playoffs/results/04-05/BaseballDiv205.pdf Ace Pitcher and Change of Venue, Too Much to Handle for Panthers in CCS Playoffs Due to the poor playing conditions at Washington Park, the Panthers lost their home field advantage as the game needed to be moved from Burlingame to Monterey. The Panthers thus got into their cars at 1:30 and headed down to Monterey. Unfortunately that wasn't the only bad luck Burlingame had as they faced pitcher Joey Parigi, who is headed to the University of Texas on a baseball scholarship. The Panthers did jump out to a 2-0 lead in the first causing Monterey's ace to throw over thirty pitches. Shane Arslan doubled and later scored on David Tufo's single to get the first run and when Mike Butterfield walked with the bases loaded Burlingame had their 2nd run of the inning. Unfortunately for the Panthers they only got one additional hit the rest of the game off of Parigi. Drew Shiller also was pitching a great game as he entered the fifth with a no hitter. Monterey scored in the sixth and seventh and captured the 6-2 victory over Burlingame. Burlingame, last years CCS Champions once again had a terrific year, facing many obstacles, injuries and a slow start to capture the Peninsula Athletic League Bay Division title. Congratulations to all the players and coaches for a fabulous, fun and entertaining 2005 Baseball Season.
