Coach TadlockHead Coach/Varsity Coach Dynelle Tadlock
Dynelle Tadlock holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Colorado and is currently an attorney for the US Postal Service. A 1989 graduate of Boulder High School, Coach Tadlock is happy to be back. “I’ve always wanted to come back. There is a pride that comes from this program. ... It’s like going back home,” said Coach Tadlock upon accepting the Head Coach offer. She is passionate about the girls’ basketball program and making Boulder High a girls’ basketball dynasty again. Coach Tadlock clearly knows what it takes to win championships. She played for Bobbi Brown when the Panthers won the state title in 1989’s 23-0 season. She comes to Boulder High after coaching at Shining Mountain Waldorf School, leading that team to a 73-28 record overall, and winning three consecutive 1A District Championships.

Assistant Freshman/Sophomore Coach - Gurney Steele

Coach SteeleIn 1990, Gurney began his basketball coaching career at Boulder High as a volunteer with the JV team, serving as an assistant coach/statistician/scorekeeper.  He volunteered for 6 years and became co-coach of the sophomore team in the 1996-97 season.  From the 1997-98 through 2000-2001seasons, he served as coach of the freshman team.  In the Fall of 2001, he coached at Casey Middle School.  In January of 2002, he began a 4 1/2 year coaching stint at Longmont High School.  After retiring from coaching in March of 2007, he was contacted by BHS Head Coach Dynelle Tadlock about assisting with the freshman/sophomore teams.

Thus, after some arm-twisting, Gurney unretired, and in his words, "has come home after a great 4 1/2 year vacation trip" to Longmont.

He is a diehard Pink Floyd fan, enjoys non-rap rock music and working on the historical novel he is writing.
