Swine Flu
**Swine Flu **
Barbers Hill Little League urge all parents to exercise good judgement regarding attendance to practices and games, if your child or another family member appears to have flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headaches, chills, fatigue), stay home and schedule an appointment with your physician.
At this time, there is no plan to alter the BHLL schedule, but we will continue to monitor the situation.

What You Can Do to Stay Healthy*

There are everyday actions people can take to stay healthy:

  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze.  Alcohol-based hand cleansers are also effective.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth as germs spread that way.
  • Try to avoid close contact with ill people.
  • Influenza is thought to spread mainly person-to-person through coughing or sneezing of infected people.
  • If you get sick, CDC recommends that you stay home from work and limit contact with others to keep from infecting them.
