UPDATES - JANUARY 31, 2012  11:00pm

SCHEDULE CHANGES Please note changes. We will practice on Friday, February 3rd at Beth Haven until 5:00pm. NO PRACTICE ON SATURDAY, February 4th. 

MONEY/PAYMENTS There is nothing else that the cheerleaders will need to pay this year. This includes  CCA Classics, State and CCA Nationals. YIPPEEE.  BUT, don't forget about Valley Xtreme. Payments are due up thru March but must be paid by February 24th. Mike allows us to use his mats, his gym during camps, and multiple extra days so he is a true blessing to our school. Please remember to thank him for being a blessing to our program.   

CCA COMPETITION 02-11-12  If you would like to work the CCA competition for a fundraiser, we will need every parent to work concessions or for CCA AND clean before AND after the competition. This is definitely not as much work as our competition. CheerBling will be bringing the mats, CCA is setting up and we will clean and do concessions. Parents will need to get together and figure out the best time for set up for this competition. You may want to do it Friday night after the game at Valley or you all can come in early Saturday morning. I have to be there both that night and the next morning so it doesn't matter to me.   We will need to make sure the gym is clean, set up and work concessions and CCA has asked that we have 1-2 moms help during the day with various things but they aren't sure just yet-.  Please get with Melinda and Julie regarding working. I will not get specific times until Monday, 2-6-12.  

STATE COMPETITION 2-18-12 We will not be spending the night in Bowling Green  as a team for the STATE Competition. We will not compete until late that afternoon. I will probably have the girls come in and go over their routine at Valley Xtreme then head to Bowling Green. (There isn't anywhere there to practice or warm up) I won't have the schedule until the Monday before (02-13-12) . We will head back immediately after awards (we are the very last division of the day) and try to make it to see the boys play in the KCAC at Evangel. (This is actually on the way home)

STUNT-A-THONS/DUOS/SOLOS I have really been encouraging the girls to have their music, costumes and routine completed by 2-11-12. Please get with your cheerleader and encourage them to get this completed so they/we are not stressed out the last week or so before Nationals!  Remember this is a FUN thing they do at Nationals. Let me know if anyone needs help with anything from music to costumes! 

DISTRICT GAMES   The- are at Beth Haven from February 20th thru 24th. On Monday, 2-20-12,  and Tuesday, 2-21-12, there will be a girls game both nights at 6:00pm and boys both nights at 7:30pm. Our girls and boys will be playing one game either on Monday or Tuesday. We will cheer the full game of both girls and boys even if they are on the same night.  If either teams win, they will play another night that week. We won't know who we play or date until closer to February.

Nationals: I will be handing out a tenative schedule next week and finalize the week we leave once the schedule has been provided by CCA. I sent home the CCA tenative schedule earlier. Praise the Lord!!! We have fundraised with our competition, sold bearcat apparel, and received donations making it possible to PAY FOR THE ENTIRE TRIP for EVERY CHEERLEADER. This includes, team registration, team entry, stunt-a-thon, duo, solo, admission fee, coach's fees, plane ticket, van rental, gas and hotel!!! Wow, isn't that just amazing. So, I can say at this point, Your balance for Nationals is $0.00   Yippeee!!!!!   Whatever we make at the concession stand at CCA competition, we will split the money and it will be "food" money for the girls. I am so amazed how God works in such a rapid unexpected way!! 

We will be staying at the same place as last year. The rooms are 2 queen beds and a sleeper sofa.  The price is Springhill Suites Charlotte Mills/Speedway; 7811 Gateway Lane NW; Concord, North Carolina 28027; Phone is 704-979-2500. We will be competiting at the same place as well. Concord Event Center.  

FLIGHT INFORMATION FOR NATIONALS- Please see me for your cheerleader and your plane tickets. Please note- I only get 9 free "CHECKED IN" bags. I misunderstood -I thought the limit was on each transaction (we have 3 transactions) which would have covered everyone to have one checked bag..... SO, I will pay for the extra girl to have a checked bag so that every cheerleader can check 1 bag. Remember, every person can take a carry on bag AND a purse/backpack on the plane free of charge. EVERY girl will be allowed to have 1 FREE checked bag that weighs 50lbs. The girls will be required to carry all cheerleading uniforms/clothes/shoes with them on the plane so I would think that the the cheerleader and her mom could share a bag to be checked in- If not, the moms will have to pay their own checked luggage for $25.00 each bag. 

HEADED TO CHARLOTTE 

Karen, Hope/Melinda,Michelle/Julie, Tyler,Autumn/Kim, Jenna/Miranda/Taylor/Tabitha,Shayla Will be taking 12:45pm flight out of Louisville on Wednesday, Feb. 29th (Delta 4944 & Delta 335)* We will meet up with the middle school group in Atlanta and we will all 19 fly together into Charlotte.

Jennifer, Katelyn/Dana,Sierra/Melissa,Jessah will be taking the 10:25am flight out of Louisville on Wednesday, Feb. 29th (Delta 1522 & Delta 335) **You will meet up with the high school group in Atlanta and we will all 19 fly together into Charlotte.

ON THE WAY HOME-

Melinda/Julie/Tyler/Kim/Tabitha/Jennifer, Katelyn/Dana,Sierra/Melissa,Jessah will be taking the flight out of Charlotte on Sunday, March 4th (Delta 2251 & Delta 2184) ** You will meet up with Karen and the 7 high school cheerleaders in Atlanta and we will all 19 fly into Louisville together.

Karen,  Hope/Michelle/Autumn/Jenna/Miranda/Taylor/Shayla will be taking the flight out of Charlotte on Sunday, March 4th (Delta 1095 & Delt 2184) We will head to the airport with the group above and try to get on the same 11:15am flight but will not be sure until we arrive- We won't pay any extra money- ** If we can't get on that flight, No problem, we will meet up with everyone else in Atlanta and we will all 19 fly into Louisville together.
