The Buffalo Grove Recreation Association, or BGRA, is a non-profit corporation, serving the Buffalo Grove community.
We are not a part of the Buffalo Grove Park District, although park district facilities are used.
Our Mission is to provide all of the youth of Buffalo Grove, regardless of their ability, a positive baseball experience: by promoting the principles of good sportsmanship and fair play; by teaching, encouraging, and supporting sound baseball fundamentals through good coaching; and by ensuring that all youth have a safe, fun, yet challenging opportunity to enjoy the game of baseball.
Nearly 2000 players participate annually in this community-based program, administered with the help of over 1000 volunteers, our board of directors, team managers, base coaches, business managers and scorekeepers.
That's a lot of VOLUNTEER HOURS spread over a great many people.
But in order for the program to succeed, we encourage every parent to participate, and CONTRIBUTE TIME & EFFORT to their child's team, the league and the association as a whole.

BGRA provides baseball equipment and field maintenance. We provide insurance, uniforms, and umpires for all games. The cost for these items cannot be covered by our registration fees alone. We rely on our team sponsors and advertisers to help make this program the best in the northern suburbs.
