Tuesday, November 3 Halloween Skate-a-thon Good News Sharing: Braving the very cold and rainy weather, a dedicated group of Angels’ players, coaches and volunteers showed up at the rink, on a very busy October 31st, wearing cute, scary and creative costumes to participate in the annual Angels skate-a-thon held at the Memorial Center. Although the weather and the current H1N1 situation deterred some from participating, the event raised over $1200, with 50% of that being used for such things as Player Development and the remaining 50% going directly back to the players who raised it for use for such things as Tournament entrance fees. Kienna Barton and Emilia Cicinelli earned prizes as top pledges and top money raised, respectively. All Angels participants agree it was loads of fun, and were rewarded with treats and mementos of the event. A huge thank you to all participants and supporting families, and all others who volunteered their time to make this event a success!! It is the efforts of these families and volunteers that help maintain reasonable annual registration fees. THANK YOU!!! |
