Welcome to the home of the Brockville Girls Hockey Association

  The Brockville Girls Hockey Association is now accepting applications for  Head Coaching Positions for the 2010/2011 Hockey Season. The application form is available here.

  First and Foremost we at the Board would like to extend our congratulations to every Angel, Coach and Manager on incredible seasons and personal achievements.  To say that we are proud of all the Angels would be an understatement.  Secondly, we would like to take this time to announce upcoming events.  Please note the following: 

·        Year End Banquet – The banquets will be held at the Prescott Fire Hall on Friday April 30, 2010.  Food and drink will be free for all of the players, however all parents siblings and friends will be charged a nominal fee for food and drink so we can cover the cost of the banquet.  The Fire Hall is located at the corner of Henry Street W and Center Street in Prescott. The timing of the two banquets are as follows:

o   6 – 7:30 p.m. – All Fundamental, Novice and Atom players and families.

o   7:30 – 9 p.m. – All PeeWee, Bantam and Midget players and families.

·        Registration

o   Friday April 30^th – Prescott Fire Hall – 6 – 9 p.m. – Tables will be set up at the Banquet.o  

 Tuesday May 11^th -  Memorial Center – 5 – 8 p.m.o  

 Tuesday June 8^th - Memorial Center – 5 – 8 p.m. 

 Here is the registration form.  We would ask that you fill out the form before coming out to registration and bring it with you as well as a copy of your daughter’s birth certificate.  There has been an increase in registration for all players this year.  Due to the soon to be implemented Harmonized Sales Tax, most items that never saw the 8 % pst will now go up 8 % when the HST comes into effect.  This includes are largest ticket item……the ice time in all arenas. 

Note To Parents – As always, the board, coaches, assistant coaches and trainers are all volunteers.  Without volunteers, hockey would be unaffordable for most.  We the board expect most coaching, assistant coaching and trainers positions  to be easily filled this fall, however we need more parents to step up for the few remaining board positions as well as volunteer to help upcoming events (Such as the upcoming banquet)  If you can spare some time to make your daughters involvement in hockey an incredible experience please reply to this email your interest, and we will instruct you on how to become a board member and/or volunteer with BGHA. 

Note to Coaches/Managers – Although we have most of the players email addresses, we don’t have all.  Please forward this email to you entire team to insure everyone is aware of upcoming events.

2010 Elizabeth Stein Memorial Award 

  The ODWHA in conjunction with the selection committee congratulate the winners of the 2010 Elizabeth Stein Memorial Award! Katrina Legault, GCGH - Janice Kwan, Nepean - Lindsay Osso, Brockville.   ODWHA received a number of strong and worthy applications and the ODWHA is very proud of our players who will be furthering their education in September.  Best of luck to all our players, and congratulations to the 2010 winners!Awards will be presented at the AGM May 4th, 7 pm.
