2 Angels Tournament Wins this Weekend!!!
Atom C After finishing fourth in the round robin, the Atom C found themselves against the first team in the division this morning ……….Napanee. The team came out on fire and played by far their best game this season. Passing was crisp, digging in the corners and on the boards was abundant. At the end of the game, the Angels won the game 2-0 on two goals by Adie. The final game was against the home town Belleville Bearcats. The Angels found themselves down 2-0 in the first period on two very quick goals. Guts and determination was abundant in the second period as the Angels fought back and tied the Bearcats. Third period was scoreless bringing the game in overtime. Overtime was back and fourth. With a little over a minute left in overtime, Cassidy M found herself on a breakaway and buried the puck into the mesh……… Goaltending in the two games was spectacular by Miranda. Novice House The Angels went through the Round Robin undefeated Scoring 11 goals on the opponents and allowing only one goal to be scored on them. Quarter finals found the team facing Nepean. Claire C scored 9 seconds in the game looking like the game was off and running. However the team was a bit sluggish for the next period and a half. After 8 saves by Katriana in that time, the team found their skates and took over the game. When the game was over, the Angels won 5-0. Semi-Finals were played against Russell. This was a very tight game…………1-1 after regulation. In overtime, Claire C took a shot on goal which was saved by the goalie. Erin B picked up the rebound and shot in the winning goal. Finals were played against another local foe…….Clarence-Rockland. The Angels came to play. After the first period the team was up 2-0 and relentlessly hounded the opponents net for more goals in the second and third period. When the game ended, the Angels were up 3-0 and came away with their second consecutive tournament victory in this division in the Kingston Tournament. Goaltending was very strong by Mad Kat allowing only two goals during the complete tournament. All the girls on both teams played amazingly…….Brockville was well represented this weekend!! Congratulations to both teams!!

Brockville Chiropractic & Health Associates Novice Angels Win Durham Lightning Tournament!!
Congratulations to our Brockville Chiropractic & Health Associates Novice Angels for winning the Durham Lightning Tournament!... After losing a hard fought first game to the Niagara Falls Slush Puppies by a score of 1-0, the girls rallied and won their next two games to advance to the final. The highlight of the round robin was Emma B. scoring the first goal of her hockey career on a beautiful pass from Ali G. Sunday morning came early for the girls as they were out for revenge on the Slush Puppies. With plenty of dressing room chatter about Green Slush Puppies for breakfast, the team was pumped up for the game. We came out flying with a great goal by Kayla M. on a breakaway to start things off. A pair of goals by Claire C. gave the Angels a solid lead. Erin B. added another by getting her own rebound and flipping it past the Slush Puppies goalie. Strong defence by Kayla, Ali, Emily and Alexa and an outstanding performance by Mad Kat, including a sprawling save at the final buzzer, locked up the shut out. An outstanding performance was put in by the entire team. The coaching staff is very proud of the effort by all the girls over the entire weekend. Wednesday, December 16

Brockville & Area Sports Hall of Fame News!!
At this years Sports HOF Awards dinner, our Novice #1 Angels were voted the Sports Team of the Year. Nominees this year were The Brockville Bunnies, Major Midget 'B' Braves, Rideau St. Lawrence Kings Minor Bantam AA, and St. Mary HS Girls Curling Team. This is a great acheivement not only for our Novice Girls, but great publicity for our organization as well. The girls will be awarded a plaque this evening (5:30pm) during the HOF Induction ceremony being held at the Memorial Centre. The City of Brockville is supplying refreshments and such, so come on over. It's a great way to help support our Angels, and also others in our community.
