Bandits Good Sportsmanship Beliefs
As more and more families get involved in sports, whether it's as a player, coach or supporting parent, good sportsmanship has come to the forefront as an issue that can have a positive impact on kids success or failure. But where should you start? We have put together a program to help you and your family learn more about good sportsmanship. The program Recipes For Good Sportsmanship is divided into four key areas (or the 4 R's) of good sportsmanship: Responsibilities, Rules, Respect and Relationships. We encourage you to discuss these tips with your family because good sportsmanship involves more than how you behave on or near the playing field, either as an athlete or as a parent. It has to do with respecting other people and yourself. It's making the most of yourself as an athlete, a friend and a family member. It's a way of showing your values through your behavior. Being a good sport can improve the quality of your athletic performance. That's because it boosts your self-confidence, lets you feel the support of your team and your family, and allows you to appreciate the things you do well.
