Brandon FC Flames 98's (White team) Have a GREAT showing at Everton Challenge
Everton Finalist

The BFC 98's white team played extremely well this past weekend at the Everton Challenge fall tournament. The BFC boys played a variety of teams and had great results against each and every team they played. In group play, BFC squared off against the tournament hosts Everton (Division 1). The BFC'ers had a resounding start to the tourney by downing the host side, 3-2. Following a relatively short break between games, the boys had to face a tough opponent in Palm Harbor's 1st team (Division 2). The short rest and the extreme heat were difficult factors to overcome as BFC lost narrowley by the score of 2-3 to Palm Harbor.

On Sunday BFC played it's final group phase match against local rivals Valrico SC (Division 3). Our boys played a superb match and easily won by the score of 3 - 0. With Palm Harbor tying their final group match, our BFC 98's won their group with a 2 win 1 loss record. That earned the boys a trip to the Final match to play the other group winner, Braden River (Premier). The BFC'ers played their best match of the tournament, and had numerous scoring chances, as did Braden River. It was a closely battled final and Braden River was able to finally break through and score the game's lone goal. The final score was Braden River 1, BFC 98 White 0.

A great start to the season for our BFC 98 white team, congratulations boys!!!
