BGA ORANGE HOLDS ON TO WIN CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

GROUP 3’s BGA Team A (Blue) and BGA Team B (Orange) both battled for the top prize down to the last second.

But Orange finished on top (86-83).

It was an awesome game. There was plenty of action.

The Referees (George Adams & Nate Edwards) kept everything in check.

As the coaches (Jeremy Trott & Justin Brown) began to feel the pressure as time wound down, the players also began to feel the pressure as the score flip flopped back and forth between each team.

It was intense all the way to the end.

I take my hat off to both teams for the display of sportsmanship throughout the game.

This was the best yet.

Barry Vanderpool Jr. scored 37 points, Justin Holmes scored 20 and Dominique Wilkins scored 18 for the Orange team.

Michael Kemmoth scored 22 points, Jordan Hargrove scored 20 and Keion Porch scored 17 for the Blue team.

GROUP 3 SnD’s SEASON IS OVER, BLUE WINS PLAYOFF GAME!!!

SnD fell short today in a thrilling playoff game, which sent BGA TA BLUE to the Championship Game vs BGA TB ORANGE on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 10:30 am.

BOTH TEAMS played exceptionally well as they battled for the privilege to go forward.

SnD had the lead and the momentum in the first half but seemed to lose steam in the second half.

After one of SnD’s best players fouled out things got even tougher for them because BGA TA BLUE kicked it up a notch and began to take control of the game. BGA TA BLUE took the lead and never looked back.

SnD did their best to regain control but BGA TA BLUE had the momentum now and would not release it.

Both teams played a great game and SnD has nothing to be ashamed of in losing this game. Yes, they were disappointed but they and BGA TA BLUE showed great sportsmanship which is really what matters.

GROUP 2 SEASON OVER, BLUE WINS SERIES!!!

What a season for Group 2.

Down to the wire, Blue and Orange battled for the top prize. Orange was short staffed by four players which put them at a huge disadvantage. One of the key players came late and was not allowed to play and the other players didn't even show up to this important 'must-win' game. Orange did their best with what they had but Blue would not be denied.

Intense is the word. Both teams were hungry for the top prize. Both teams lost players to foul limits, but Orange had no one else to put in so they played with four players. WoW!!!

Orange team's Julian Daniels single-handedly carried the team but fell short as time ran out, losing the game 57-55.

Blue must also be commended for their endurance and tenacity. No matter what Orange threw at them in scoring runs, Blue answered. What a game.
