GROUP 3 Triple ROUND-ROBIN

Sunday, February 22
BITTER SWEET WIN FOR S & D

Salvation Deliverance Church (S&D) got their first win against Bethel Gospel Assembly Team A (BLUE) [BGA TA] on Saturday (2/21/2015).

I witnessed the last minute and a half and I tell you it was intense.

S&D smelled victory and would not be denied.

BGA TA seemed to think they had the game won with the lead under two minutes but S&D seemed to sense it was their time, and it was.

With this win came a technical foul [and a mandatory 1 game suspension] on their head coach.

One of BGA TA’s players also received a technical foul and must serve a one game suspension on his team’s bench without further incident.

Without detailing what lead to the technical fouls, just know that ALL un-sportsman-like behavior is unacceptable.

The BGA Basketball Clinic Competition’s non tolerance of technical fouls (un-sportsmanship-like behavior) is a part of its Christian culture that helps us maintain an atmosphere that encourages positive fellowship.

When someone receives a technical foul, a mandatory 1 game suspension is handed out. If that same person receives any additional technical fouls, it warrants a suspension from the remainder of the tournament and possible ban from the next season.

My compliments to both teen (Group 3) teams, for the little bit I saw and the positive feedback I received made me feel good that the players are starting to see the good in themselves by participating in this intramural tournament.

I compliment the coaches and players who continue to display their Christian character whether they win or lose.

I also compliment the Referees for their professionalism through-out the game.

God bless you and thank you for your continued prayers and support.

BGA B-Ball Clinic Competition Director.

THE HEAT IS ON

GROUP 2 BLUE Team has been on a winning streak and as of today (2/21/2015) commands a 3-1 record of a Best-Of-Nine Series.

The GROUP 2 ORANGE Team has not seen its center in at least two games but the BLUE Team was without their center today and still managed to pull off a win.

The ORANGE Team is in desperate need of a win.

The heat is on them and they know it.

The GROUP 1 teams are having fun each time they are given an opportunity to briefly compete at half-time of the Group 3 and Group 2 games. Let’s continue to encourage them every time they are allowed to play.

God bless you and thank you for your continued prayers and support.
