With just two tournaments left in the season the Benton County Bass Anglers headed to Table Rock to get ready for the Missouri TBF state tournament. With rain moving in and out and the temperature going up and down many anglers were finding Table Rock to be a little bit of a challenge.

Taking first place was Rick Johnson of Sedalia and Charlie Edgar of Warsaw. The two headed towards the dam and worked their spot very slow. Rick said he felt it would be tough no matter where they went so they decided to stay put. They used finnesse worms to boat 7.67 lbs and take the win. Rick is sponsored by Ranger, Yamaha and R&L Siding and Windows. Charlie is sponsored by C&C Valley Transmission and R&L Sididng and Windows. Nice job guys.

Second place went to Mike Southerlin and Dave Bolinger with 5.84 lbs. The two said prefishing was tough and they tried everything they could think of. They used shaky heads and crankbaits inside mainlake and secondary points with water depts ranging from 6 to 25 feet. Good work guys.

Big Bass of the day went to Eric Dueker of Warsaw with 2.95 lbs. Eric was a little taken back by his fish as he saw the fish under a dock, flipped to it and saw the fish take the bait. When he landed it the fish had very little tail. The three pounder was all head and belly. Eric is sponsored by Osage Auto Service and Tire of Warsaw.

Just one tournament left in the season which will be on Truman October 18th. This year has been and a lot of fun. We have a year end tournament on LOZ and two state tournaments on Table Rock.
