This season, the 14U Ben Hill Tigers will look to encourage others, and honor one very special man. Jake Trainer has been a member of North Ave Presbyterian Church for over 40 years.
He was one of the kindest, most sincere men you will ever meet. Not to mention, EVERY Monday he was at the church, repairing whatever needed to be repaired. The only way we could think to honor such a man, was to do what he did so well, GIVE. Please join us in honoring Jake, by donating to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
For every game our offensive total yardage, touchdowns, and forced turnovers will carry a monetary value. After every game, the statistics will be posted on this website, and the value of those stats will be listed. This is designed to keep the amount of each donation under $100. Our goal is to have at least 100 people donate each week, with a total goal of $80,000.
Click on the banner at the top of this article. It will take you directly to CHOA's website, and instruct you to create an account. Follow the prompts, and click on "Honor Someone". You can fill in his information, so for every donation, Jake will recieve a postcard in the mail, stating that you gave in his honor.
It is not often that we tell our loved ones how we really feel. Please do not forget among all the arguing and disagreements, that you never know what will, could, or might happen to the people we love. Take the time to tell someone that you love them. Always let them know how you really feel.
