BEN GEREN SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION: Welcome
|
| Providing softball for all ages 3 - ?? |
The Ben Geren Softball Association hosts both Slow Pitch and Fast Pitch teams for youth and adults in Fort Smith, AR at Ben Geren Regional Park. While we are located inside Ben Geren Regional Park which is owned by Sebastian County, we lease the softball fields from the county and are solely responsible for the scheduling and running the association. We currently register our teams with USSSA.
Visitors, Players, Coaches, Umpires and all others are reminded that Ben Geren Park is outside the City Limits of Fort Smith and in the dry part of Sebastian County. This means that possession and/or consumption of alcohol in the park is a violation of the law. Due to severe problems with alcohol in the past the Ben Geren Softball Association Board has requested that the Sebastian County Sheriff's Dept. and the Ben Geren Park Police start making arrests for any and all violations involving alcohol. If found guilty they will also request that the judge bar the violators for a year from the park and the softball complex.
The Sebastian County Parks Department is trying to beautify the park. They have requested that we refrain from parking on the grass.

NOTE: Since this is an all volunteer association there is no one paid to sit and wait on the phone to ring. Please leave a message and one of the officers will return the call as soon as possible (this may be 2-3 days) or you can send us an e-mail at bengerensoftball@yahoo.com and the web master will forward it to the proper person as soon as possible.

President Joe Mundy and the rest of the Ben Geren Softball Association hope that you have a joyous Thanksgiving.
Saturday, October 31
Well, it is that time of year where the days are getting shorter and cooler, the leaves are turning colors and falling off the trees. and another year for the Ben Geren Softball Association has culminated (finally). Mother Nature was not very kind to us this year but we have survived.
We hope to see all of you next year. Be assured the board will not be sitting idle. There is a lot to do during this off season in getting ready for next year. Keep checking in at the web site for information about upcoming events and meetings.
