The Ben Geren Softball Association hosts both Slow Pitch and Fast Pitch teams for youth and adults in Fort Smith, AR at Ben Geren Regional Park. While we are located inside Ben Geren Regional Park which is owned by Sebastian County, we lease the softball fields from the county and are solely responsible for the scheduling and running the association. We currently register our teams with USSSA.
Visitors, Players, Coaches, Umpires and all others are reminded that Ben Geren Park is outside the City Limits of Fort Smith and in the dry part of Sebastian County. This means that possession and/or consumption of alcohol in the park is a violation of the law. Due to severe problems with alcohol in the past the Ben Geren Softball Association Board has requested that the Sebastian County Sheriff's Dept. and the Ben Geren Park Police start making arrests for any and all violations involving alcohol. If found guilty they will also request that the judge bar the violators for a year from the park and the softball complex.
The Sebastian County Parks Department is trying to beautify the park. They have requested that we refrain from parking on the grass.

NOTE: Since this is an all volunteer association there is no one paid to sit and wait on the phone to ring. We are now accepting BAMBINO, YOUTH and ALL TEAM registrations. The forms are in the handout section of this web site.
BAMBINO DIVISION will have a definite deadline of April 28, 2010 at 5:00PM. The cost is the same as last year $30.00 per child which is due at the time the registration is turned in.
YOUTH (Slow Pitch & Fast Pitch) & ADULT teams have an April 21, 2010 at 5:00PM deadline for entry to the league. As it was last year, ALL Youth Team fees must be paid by April 21, 2010 or your team will not be placed on the schedule. ALL Adult Team fees must be paid by April 21, 2010 or you will not play in preseason. No play in preseason means you sit out this year or play in upper division.
