The Brighton High School Cheerleaders are one of the most outstanding groups of athletes from the Boston Public School System. The BHS Cheer Squad made its comeback as a “competitive cheer & dance squad” at the Annual Emmanuel College Cheerleading Tournament, and the BIV-10 Annual Battle of the Cheerleaders in November 1989. That was a long time ago!
Throughout the years Brighton High Cheerleaders have managed to snag many city, state, and regional competition titles; representing their school as student ambassadors, while keeping education their number one priority.

TRYOUT TIDBITS: The BHS Cheer Staff holds tryouts in the Spring and Fall, following a minimum 2 day work shop, where you are taught material used during regular season. Interested candidates should make sure they are versed and/or have collegiate style cheer knowledge. BHS Cheer routines are choreographed to high energy music with high powered skills, such as but not limited to: tumbling/gymnastics, jumps, sharp motions, strong facial expressions, stunts/pyramids, and showmanship.
BHS Staff & Cheer Team attend UCA Cheer Camps, Clinics, and other workshops sponsored & affliated with NFHS, MIAA and AACCA. We pride ourselves in our team & school traditions, and academics!
