REDLANDS BENCHWARMERS PROFILE
The Redlands Benchwarmers is a non-profit organization established in 1952. The Benchwarmers celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2002. The purpose of the Benchwarmers is to provide financial support to the athletic programs in the Redlands Unified Sschool District ranging from football to cross country. The Benchwarmers has provided approximately $40,000 annually the last three school years in support to the over 1,000 student athletes participating in athletic activities at Redlands High School, Redlands East Valley, Orangewood, and Grove. In August 2009, Benchwarmers added Citrus Valley High School with an additional 500 student athletes to support. This will bring the total student athletes to support to approximately 1,500.
The Benchwarmers primary fundraisers are: Individual ($20), Family ($35), and Business ($35) memberships; sponsorships (Silver $150, Gold $250, Diamond $500, and Platinum $1,000); and an annual golf tournament (Mid-June each year) which nets plus/minus $20,000. Each sponsorship is given membership in Benchwarmers.
The Benchwarmers has a web site, www.redlandsbenchwarmers.org, where schedules and results of District varsity sports are available. Sponsors are also recognized on the site, where there location, web address, e-mail address, telephone number, description of business, etc. is available.
