Attention Parents A Letter From Our President!!
January Letter
Hello All and thank you for visiting the Bellport/South Country Little League website. Now that the holliday's are behind us, this only means that spring time is coming up quickly. The winter clinics thus far have been very successful and will only get more intence with the players and coaches from the Bellport High School team jumping on board.
All Clinics will re-start on Monday the 4th of January and continue through the winter. Parents are encouraged to get involved and enjoy the childrens progress as we enter the new year. We as a board are doing our best to make this the most sucessful season Bellport/South Country Little League ever had, it will not be an easy task but with the help of a few good parents it will be a lot more attanable. Our last registration will take place at the South Country Ambulance Company located on the corner of Montauk Hwy. and Dunton Avenue Saturday January 9th between the hours of 9:00 am and 12:00 noon. Anybody with questions please feel free to contact me at the league number 455-0336. Happy New Year to All.

December Letter
I sit here tonight with a broken heart because of the sudden passing of Mrs. Paul Silverman. On Christmas Eve she left behind a man who coaches not only here at Bellport Little League, but also youth football, youth lacrosse and is an active member of the cub scouts. She also left behind her two wonderful boys both of whom I adore, Dakota and Jared. They truly are terrific kids, believe me.
Now parents is the time where we must step up to the plate. It's easy to go to the game and be a spectator and root for our children...But now we must step up to the plate and show these children we too can be hero's. Any donation at all is better than none at all.
Bellport Little League is the largest youth sports program in this small community and if we can all chip in a little bit, it can help a lot. During this holiday season, where we are all counting our blessings for our families and gifts we are receiving, this may be the greatest gift we ever give. We as a group can really help out a family close to home who will truly appreciate our gift of love and support. All donations may be sent to Bellport Little League, PO Box 403, Bellport, NY 11713.
I, along with Mr. Greg Miglino and an outstanding group of men and women from the South Country Ambulance Company spent some time with Paul on Christmas Eve giving him and the boys as much love and support as we possible could. This will be a tough road as Dakota heads into surgery this February. We must act swiftly and generously, please help.
With all my love,
Charles J. Francomano
President Bellport/South Country Little League
