Thank you, to our 2011 season Sponsors who made Burlington-Edison Little League Baseball possible. Last season we had over 300 youth athletes sign up and playing baseball and softball.

Season Information: The regular season games will begin, for all divisions except T-ball, April 9 and run through June 8.  T-ball will start  April 16. Coaches will be starting practices after March 3rd.

Practices: Practices will begin on or after Mar 3.  Time, Location, and Frequency is determined by each individual coach. Coaches will receive their roster on Mar 1 after which they will begin contacting players. 

Game Times & Locations: All Home Games for Major Level and down will be played at Skagit River Park.. T-Ball and Baseball at the North Fields, Softball at the South Fields.

***Games at Skagit River Park will initailly start at 5:30 and as we have more daylight the Game start time will move to 6:00.  You will be notified of this change.

Following are the Game Days By Division.

Rookies (Coach Pitch BB & SB)..........Tue & Thurs

Minors....................................................... Mon & Wed

Major......................................................... Tue & Thurs

Interleague divisions may have a few Saturday games scheduled. Otherwise Fridays and Saturdays are saved for makeup games due to Rainouts and such.

***Major Baseball and All Softball teams will interleague and may have away games in Sedro Woolley, Mt Vernon, and Anacortes.

Please make the following changes on your tryout notices (received if you attenden one of the manned registrations)

Sat Feb 25 :  Girls 12:30, Minor Boys 1:30, Major Boys 3:00

Sun Feb 26:  Girls 12:30, Minor Boys 1:30, Major Boys 3:00

REGISTRATION DATES

For your convenience a Registration form and the Player/Parent Concussion form can be downloaded from the "Handouts" link and completed in advance.

Although sign up dates have passed, you still may sign up your child by either printing the 1)registration, 2)player/parent concussion form,  and mailing them in with payment (and a copy of Birth Certificate) or attending one of the tryout dates and signing up then.

Regardless, of which option you choose, we ask that you attend one of our tryout dates as we will have sample uniforms there for sizing.

Tball... $60

Baseball/Softball... 1st Child $110... Additional Children $100

***If you did not play last year, we will need a copy of your child's birth certificate.  We will have a copy machine available to make this.

Coed T-ball ...... 4 5 & 6(that have not played previously)

The Following Divisions include Baseball & Softball 

Rookies (Coach-Pitch) ...... 6 7 8

Minors (Kid Pitch) ......  8 9 10 11

Majors ...... 10 11 12

Juniors .... 13 & 14

--Baseball: Player's Age on Apr 30, 2012

--Softball: Player's Age on Jan 1, 2012

 IMPORTANT INFORMATION.  

 Parents, if you havent already done so,  please download the concussion forms that are located in the handouts section & review these with your athlete and sign them.  Both parent and athlete have to sign these forms prior to ANY tryouts, practices or games. 

Managers/Coaches. 

If you have an interest in being one then you will also have to go to the handout section and download the concussion form for managers.  There will be a MANDATORY coaches/managers meeting on Thurs Mar 1 at the Skagit State Bank Traninig Ctr.  @ 6:00.

Mariner's Little League Weekends

Little League Baseball and the Seattle Mariners are teaming up once again in 2012 to bring you Little League Weekends, one of the biggest events at Safeco Field. All Little Leaguers plus their friends and family are invited to participate in these fun-filled games, featuring promotional giveaways, on-field parades and tickets at a special price!Here are the Dates:

Sun. Apr 22, 2012 1:10 p.m. (vs. Chicago White Sox)

Sun. May 6, 2012 1:10 p.m. (vs. Minnesota Twins)

Sun. may 27, 2012 1:10 p.m. (vs. Los Angeles Angels)

Sun. June 10, 2012 1:10 p.m. (vs. Los Angeles Dodgers)

VOLUNTEERS

If you plan on volunteering we need you to go the handout section and fill the 2012 volunteer form out, attach a copy of your drivers license and turn into a board member.  Volunteering is anything from concessions, coaching, umpiring or being a coaches assitant.

Burlington-Edison Little League Board: We are always looking for good people on our board.  Especially those of you with younger children, who will be around for a while.  As those with older kids move on we always have member seats to fill.  This league, as you may know is run completely by volunteers.   There are approximately 14 positions and when we have good people at each, as has been the case, it is very simple and rewarding. Meetings are usually conducted the first Monday of each month. Meeting location is at Skagit State Bank Training Ctr and begin at 6:00 PM.  Anyone interested is encourage to attend.
