2012 Linwood Holiday Tournament Champions
The Lady Falcons are from Belhaven Middle School which is one of two schools in the Linwood Public School district. The school is a grade 5-8 school with approximately 100-120 students is each grade. The school prides itself on character education and its Renaissance program. The members of the team are from grades 6-8 and compete in the Atlantic-Cape Junior High School Athletic League. This League is made up of public and catholic schools from Atlanic and Cape May Counties. THIS IS THE 39th YEAR OF LADY FALCON BASKETBALL This program was started back in 1974 by Tom Coyle. Throughout the last 38 seasons the program has been based upon hard work, a positive attitude and having fun. These ideals have been instilled since the inception of the program. The work and dedication of all the girls throughout the years has allowed the program to never have a losing season in 36 years. Three times the Lady Falcons have finished the season undefeated and also had a streak of 67 straight victories from January 2001- December 2003. During the 2004-2005 season the program surpassed 500 career victories. During the 2008-2009 the program surpassed 600 victories. There is no doubt that if the girls continue the play hard, play smart and work together that they will have a successful season. Wins and losses are great but always make sure that you never forget to enjoy the ride. Good Luck this season!!!!!
