Applause of Bel Air
WELCOME!
Applause of Bel Air Baton Corps, 2009 NBTA Beg. Junior Small Dance Twirl National Champions & 2008 Beg. Senior Dance Twirl National Champions, is the oldest continuously operating baton twirling program in Harford County. Our affiliation with Parks and Rec allows us to offer the finest quality of instruction at an affordable cost. Our twirlers and teams have won many NBTA State and National titles. We invite you to look around our website and see our many team & individual accomplishments. Whether twirling with Applause for fun and recreation, or as part of a competition team, our twirlers receive the finest instruction from our highly qualified and dedicated coaches.

Recreation Classes - Bel Air Middle School
Level 1: For new twirlers, ages 4 and up. Basic twirling skills. Wed. 6-7 PM.
Level 2: Build on skills learned in the beginner class. For the twirler who wants to learn higher level skills without the commitment of competition. Wed. 6-7 PM.
Competition Classes/Teams - Bel Air Middle School
In-house Competition Team: Twirlers who are ready for more advanced skills, and are interested in competing. Must complete Level 1 class. No try-out is required. Ages 4 and up. Must commit to at least two contests in the spring. Wed. 6-7 PM. Some additional practice times may be added before contests.
Travel Competition Team: Twirlers who are ready for more advanced skills. Ages 4 and up. Must complete Level 1. Interested twirlers will be evaluated by the Travel team coaches. In addition to local contests, Travel team twirlers attend AYOP Nationals in South Bend, Indiana each July. Besides registration fees, additional costs for travel to Nationals will be assessed. Extra practices beyond Wednesday nights are required.
Twirlers new to Applause, but with experience from another corps may join either competition team with the approval of the coaches. An evaluation of skills is required in order to assure placement at the proper level.
FEES: We offer three sessions per year, with registration in the fall, winter and spring. Cost per session: $55 for beginner class, $65 for in-house competition team, $95 for travel team. $15 once a year Parks and Rec registration fee, payable at first registration each year. Twirlers on competition teams must commit to all three sessions. $20 for batons. Additional fees may be charged for costumes.

All members of Irish (Juniors): 3-4
I haven't heard yet from Glenna about whether or not Preteens will practice.
Please let me know ASAP if you will be able to make it so we know whether there will be enough in attendance to practice.
