In the event of inclement weather, please check the commissioner's home page for your child's age group. Delays or cancellations during the week are listed by 4:30 pm and on weekends by 8am. Each age group Commissioner's page can be found by clicking on Teams links. You will find the age group commissioners listed under In-house heading. Dick's Sporting Goods has partnered with Bel Air baseball as a generous sponsor again this year. Click on the logo to the left to download discount coupons for baseball gear and accessories. You can use these coupons now and throughout the entire season. Opening Day - Thank you to all that particpated in our opening day ceremonies. Congratulations to our Pitch, Hit and Run winners. Represent Bel Air Baseball well at the regional level in May.
Help support Bel Air Travel Baseball Teams: On Wednesday, MAY 30, Buffalo Wild Wings will donate 20% of all sales by customers who bring in our organization's flyer and turn it in when paying their check. The flyer can be used on dine-in or carry-out, and is valid the entire day. Get a copy of the flyer in the Handouts section.
Games begin the week of April 23rd. Games schedules have been posted in handouts 2012 link for all age groups. NEW FOR 2012 - Our 7-8 league will convert to machine pitch for games this season. The machines are provided by Pitching Machines Now. Check out their link in our sponsor section. FALL BASEBALL OPPORTUNITIES: Due to limited field availability we are restricted on the number of teams that we can handle in the Fall season. Fall baseball teams are typically coached by our Spring travel coaches. If you are interested in a tryout with one of these teams please contact the appropriate travel coach listed below. 8U Fall Baseball: If your 6 or 7 year old son/daughter is a talented player you may be looking for an opportunity for them to play at a higher level. Players from our Fall 8U team have typically moved on to become the core of our 8U team in the following Spring season. If they play other sports we can usually work around that as we realize baseball is a secondary sport in the Fall. We will focus on fundamentals and you may be surprised at how fast their skills will develop. The Braves won the District 8 Tournament on June 21, 2011 earning them the World Series berth as host team from Harford County. The Braves play in the Harford County Travel Baseball League and finished the season undefeated at 13-0. The course is to be completed online and is good for your entire coaching career with Bel Air Baseball. Bel Air Rec will purchase the course and assign it to you once you have registered at https://www.baberuthcoaching.org/coaches/ . Please notify the Chairperson at belairbaseball@att.net when registered so the course can be assigned.**** Parking for games at Bel Air School Fields**** We have been contacted by the Bel Air Police Department about people parking at Wakefield Meadows for games and/or practices at BAHS, BAMS and HES. Please be aware that parking in Wakefield Meadows is reserved for residents and guests only. There are signs clearly posted indicating that there is no parking for Rec programs. The Bel Air Police have warned us that if people continue to park there, they could be subject to ticketing or towing of their vehicles. Please park in the Bel Air School parking lots only. 9-10 and 11-12 League to Play games at Ripken Baseball Complex in 2012
For the 2012 season, Bel Air Baseball will again be scheduling some of their games on Tuesdays and Thursdays at The Ripken Baseball Complex. One 9-10 game on Tuesdays and one 11-12 games on Thursday will be played starting the week of April 23rd. Directions to the fields are as follows: Take route 95 north to exit 85 (rt 22). Turn left onto rt 22. Turn right onto Long Drive and follow to complex. Parking lot is located on left prior to the Warehouse Marriot Hotel. Fields are located to the left of Ripken Stadium on the other side of the hotel. We will be using the newly turfed National Bank Park field on both Tuesday and Thursday.
