3 out of 3 in the league and 3 goals to 2 today
Beith beat a strong Arthurlie side for the 1st time in the Premier Division today by 3 goals to 2.
Beith opened the scoring through John Craig in the 22nd minute.
Half Time: 1-0
2 minutes into the 2nd half and Arthurlie equalised.
15 minutes later and a quality Craig Brittain cross was met by Kenny McLean who headed the ball into the net.
Nip and tuck for the rest of the game with Keith Ross having 2 top drawer saves.
90th minute and a free kick on the edge of box was struck by Arthurlie with a Beith player handling on the line before it went over and the referee awarded a penalty. The referee then made the unusual choice of changing his mind and awarded the goal.
Arthurlie celebrated wildly with goalkeeper Neil Parry who was up for the corner jumping into the arms of another player.
Less than a minute later into injury time and the fat lady hadn't sung yet. John Craig got the ball about 25 yards out and unleashed a shot past Parry to send the home support wild no doubt adding to the celebrations of the other celebrations a minute earlier.
3 points to Beith in a tough game against an Arthurlie side full of good players.
