The Bedford Heights Saints administration would like to thank the players, parents and supporters for a great 2007 football season. It was great to witness the growth in our organization, not just in numbers but the skill level of our players and coaches. We expanded our teams from 3 during the 2006 season to 5 teams this season. We had 176 players come out and 135 players stayed and played with the Saints for a winning season. The final records were Mitey Mites 7-2-1, Jr. Pee Wee’s 7-2, Pee Wee’s 8-2, Jr. Midgets 10-1, and Midgets 9-1.
This season was a good year for our players, coaches and parents. Everyone worked hard both on and off the field. The administration appreciates all of the dedication that was shown by our players. We are equally appreciative of all the support we received by the parents, families and friends. Saints youth football has been more than a commitment to play the game of football. It’s everything that lead up to Saturday and Sunday games which allowed us to have some fun on game day! We had great practices, volunteering and fundraising efforts. For this reason we are able to be third time city champs in a row.
The Saints is just one team that played in the Northeast Ohio Pop Warner League, and we would like to thank all of the other teams for great competition and sportsmanship.
We will continue our work during the off season as we aim to make our organization even better by taking Saints football to the next level. The League requires good academic standing with players prior to being able to play; however, the Saints organization would like to emphasize the importance of school success all year round. We will be working to help our players maintain academic success, as well as personal and physical growth and responsibility.
Again, we would like to praise and thank our players for their hard work, dedication, and a great 2007 football season. We also thank our parents and coaches for your dedication and support. We look forward to everyone returning late summer to get next season off to a great start! GO SAINTS!!!
